GLee S02E08 review!

The episode opens with Burt Hummel (Mike O'Malley) and Carole Hudson (Romy Rosemont) telling their respective sons, glee club members Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Finn (Cory Monteith), that they are engaged. Principal Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) announces her intention to marry herself, and glee club member Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) tells Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) that he loves her and would like to marry her in the future, offering her a promise ring.

Kurt is confronted by school bully Dave Karofsky (Max Adler). Sue sympathizes with Kurt's plight, but states that she cannot punish Karofsky unless he actually attacks Kurt. Glee club co-captain Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) rallies the other glee club girls into having their football-playing boyfriends defend Kurt. Finn refuses, concerned that it may jeopardize his position as quarterback. Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale) and Mike Chang (Harry Shum, Jr.) confront Karofsky, and Sam defends them when they are attacked. Later, impressed by the way Sam stood up for Kurt, Quinn accepts his promise ring. Karofsky sees Kurt and Finn practicing a wedding dance and taunts them in front of Burt. Burt is furious, particularly when he learns that Karofsky has threatened to kill Kurt. He instigates a meeting with Sue, Karofsky, and his father (Daniel Roebuck), at which Karofsky is expelled. Rachel tells Finn that she never slept with Jessie and only told him so in an effort to make him jealous, but is happy that they will be losing their virginities together, while Santana threatens Finn with the truth.

Burt and Carole marry, and Finn uses his best man speech as an opportunity to apologize to Kurt for not defending him, promising to do so in the future. He and the other glee club members dedicate a performance of Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are" to Kurt, and the new stepbrothers dance together. Following the wedding, they learn that the school board merely has issued Karofsky a verbal warning and is allowing him to return to school. Sue resigns as principal in protest, and Burt and Carole use their honeymoon savings to transfer Kurt to Dalton Academy, an all-male school with a zero tolerance policy against bullying, and also the school that Kurt's friend Blaine (Darren Criss) goes to.

Simultaneous to the events of the Hummel-Hudson wedding, Sue advances her own marriage plans. She is visited by mother Doris, a recently retired Nazi hunter, who was an absentee parent to Sue and her sister, Jean (Robin Trocki). Doris attempts to make amends, but is continuously critical of her daughter, to the point that Sue calls her a bully and disinvites her during her wedding ceremony. Doris leaves, and Sue and Jean comfort each other.
