When i wanna check the results for the 1st time..

The Star Education Fair

Last busy week, i got the opportunity 2 go 2 the Star Education fair at PiSa with my fellas by motorcycle..
There were 5 of us joining the so-called journey 2 PiSa..There were Khairi, Mat Yan, Arip, Atai and me..

The funny thing was, during our journey 2 Penang, my motorcycle rear tyre got punctured just be4 we reached the Penang bridge...I was really grateful that i didn't got involved in any accident because of that incident..My other friends already giggling and all that at the moment...
However, i told them 2 continue their journey first because i've gone through this kind of situation be4...

Luckily, there was an "on-the-run" Indian mechanic saw the incident..So, the kind mechanic offered his service 2 change the punctured tyre..Thank god, he didn't charge me "a mountain of gold"....Thanks 2 him, i can reach the fair safely...

Ok, now about the fair...There were a lot of universities and colleges got involved in the fair..One of them that caught my interest was Technology Park College..They offer study in mechanical engineering with major in aerospace...If i got accepted 2 the college, i'll learn in Malaysia for 2 years, then further my study in the USA for another 2 years......

After getting bored with the fair, all of us thought of watching movies...So, we drove all the way 2 Queensbay Mall...We decided 2 watch Street Fighter : Legend of Chun-Li....The storyline was not so good though the actions were quite good..I think i can give about 3 and a half star 4 the movie..haha
After that, we went 2 a travel fair outside the mall...It was a boring fair..Maybe because there was a light rain during that time...The fair maybe suitable for people who got interests on travelling...

The fun didn't stop there, after Maghrib prayers, we made a crazy decision 2 go 2 Batu Feringgi all the way long from there....That was a challenging ride because Batu Feringgi is on the other side of the island...Furthermore, we need 2 drive along up and down of the hilly roads...

Actually, i never know that there were many pirated dvds at Batu Feringgi....It was like a pirated dvd's heaven.. haha...It was Khairi's idea 2 go there...After walking around there for a while, we got tired and headed back 2 the ferry jetty...It was almost midnight when we reached the jetty...It took quite a long time for the ferry 2 reached the jetty because there was only few ferries in the midnight...I reached home at about 1 o'clock in the morning...Seriously, that was the latest ever i came home....

STuDy USA FaiR

Last week, i went 2 KL 2 join an exhibition about study opportunities in the USA..
There were about 22 universities and colleges from the USA joined the exhibition which was held at KL Hilton ballroom..
At first, i had arranged some plans with my friends, but it seemed that my bus was stuck in a flood around the Pudu area...I was "cursing" during that moment...
It was only when the time was about 7pm i could get out from the bus...

So, after that horrible moment, i took LRT from plaza rakyat 2 masjid jamek...
Then, i took another LRT 2 KL Sentral...What a tiring journey...However, i didn't give up cos of my passion and interest towards the exhibition..

When i reached KL Sentral, some of my friends already left the exhibition..
Luckily, there were Bob & Pak An...They planned 2 go 2 the exhibition after maghrib prayers, so i just followed them..


When we got into the KL Hilton lobby, we met with some VVIP's such as Dato' Mustapha Mohamed (i guess he's the agricultural minister)...We didn't know where was the exhibiton held, so the "brilliant" Bob & Pak An asked me 2 ask the receptionist cos i'm a British Council student...

After a while there, Bob told us that he need 2 leave...So, there was only me and Pak An all the way long...Then, the hard part came...Pak An asked me 2 do all the talking and there was nothing i could do besides just doin it...
I didn't have enough time 2 talk with all representatives from all the universities, but i managed 2 talk with a representative from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University...
The guy was Alberto Woginiack, the associate director for the university's international admissions...
We talked about the tuition fees, the scholarships and all that...He said that they are the top university in aeronautical engineering in the USA (Besides MiT)...

Averagely, the tuition fees for most of the universities in the USA per academic year is around $40000...So, if your parents are wealthy it's ok, if not, you need 2 get a scholarship...
Later that night, i went 2 my uncle's apartment near Terminal Putra..
Just when i reached the guard post, my uncle brought me 2 Old Town Kopitiam near his apartment 2 have a dinner...We talked a lot about my future and about things about life...

Besides of my father, my uncle's one of my idols...
He had a lot of experiences working with giant companies like Fedex, Monsanto, Alfa-Romeo etc...
He used 2 hold high-ranking posts such as CEO's and something like that in those companies....

On the next day, i went 2 my old school in Klang 4 a visit..There was many things that changed...
The infrastructures, the school organisation, the colours, the teachers' room etc...I only managed 2 meet some of the teachers like Ms Mariah, Mdm Hema, Ms Rosnaini, Mdm Ainon, Ustaz Sheikh etc...I got many useful advices from them especially from my lovely Class Teacher, Mdm Ainon and Ms Mariah....They gave me a lot of guidance since i got into KiSaS...They thought me about the challenges that are coming ahead in life...I am really grateful 2 have such good teachers like them...

The Star Education Fair 2009

Participate in Malaysia’s leading education fair!

The Star Education Fair, the country’s premier education fair, will return in 2009 with its 21st edition.

The event will be held on Jan 10 and 11 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), and will then head up north to the Penang International Sports Arena on Feb 28 and March 1.

With attendance at Star Education Fair 2008 totalling at an impressive 70,000 visitors for Kuala Lumpur and 30,000 visitors for Penang, visitor turnout at the 2009 edition is expected to skyrocket. Numerous local and foreign exhibitors will be participating, occupying five exhibition halls at the KL venue.

BriTisH CouNciL

It's been a while since the first time i went to British Council...
The class is held on every fridays & it became my routine 2 go to Penang once a week 4 that..
Honestly, on the first day i got a lil bit scared & nervous cos i didn't know anybody there!!!

Thx god, i could overcome that prob cos unpredictably the students there are more friendly than anybody i've met!!
Though most of the students in my class are chinese, they are really good 2 me..
I'm really grateful 2 get such good friends like them...

These people in the pics are the most friendly person i've met..
They are Jayne & Alex...When i met them 4 the first time, i thought they would not befriended with me but what happened was vice versa...
Though most of the students in my class are already good in English (especially the Chinese), they still want 2 learn English...I really envy their spirits...

It is because most of them already had a job, but still, they spend their time every single Friday just 2 improve their English....The guy who's waving his hands above is a pediatrician (children doctor) in Penang General Hospital..
I guess if any children fall sick, i can recommend this guy..

Last night, we were told 2 act in front of the class by using all the exercises we had done..
All of us were giggling when it came 2 acting!!!
However, there was nothing i can do bout it..
We were divided in 4 people in a group and we must pick a situation provided in the book..
My group consists of me, Kit Wai, Alex, and his younger sister, Esther...
The funny thing is somehow Alex got himself out of the situation by minimizing his role in the whole thing!!!
Her diligent sister was the one who give her heart 2 the fullest 4 the assignment...
I'm not surprised cos girls are usually more diligent than boys!!
haha..

I really hope that there will be held more exciting & joyful activities while i'm studying there..
2 all my friends, i think u should go 2 this brilliant place also cos the classes are fun!!
